The Simply B Trial

Project Details

To address barriers to the management and treatment of hepatitis B in primary care clinics, we have co-designed this project with general practitioners. The trial includes a novel hepatitis B e-support package that is designed to increase hepatitis B management uptake in primary care.

This pilot study will address the critical evidence gap of identifying how best to scale-up of hepatitis B management in primary care. It will consist of:

1.  Automated hepatitis B blood test ordering;
2.  A simplified hepatitis B management algorithm; and 
3.  An online e-decision-support tool that provides GPs with immediate hepatitis B management feedback based on patient clinical data, with simultaneous linkage to hospital-based specialist support.
