Janine Trevillyan

Research Overview

A/Prof Trevillyan’s group is a translational clinical trial team that investigates the pathogenesis and prevention of the long-term complications of HIV. Specifically, this work focuses on understanding the physiological basis for weight gain associated with antiretroviral therapy and identifying novel pharmacological interventions to reduce accelerated aging and age-related diseases (such as cardiovascular disease) in people living with HIV.

The group has also recently expanded to include clinical trials and large scale biobanking investigating the effectiveness and sides effects of new, and renewed vaccines.
