Associate Professor Lachlan Miles awarded 2022 MMS Publication Prize
Associate Professor Lachlan Miles is awarded the coveted 2022 MMS Publication Prize for Early Career Researchers Clinician Scientist.
Lachlan completed his PhD at University of Melbourne in 2021.
Lachlan's thesis, "Associations between non-anaemic iron deficiency and outcomes following elective cardiac surgery (IDOCS): a prospective cohort study", examined the management of non-anemic iron deficiency in patients undergoing cardiac and colorectal surgery.
Lachlan is also a Staff Specialist and Deputy Head of Research in the Department of Anaesthesia at Austin Health and Honorary Clinical Fellow in the Pre-Clinical Critical Care Unit at the Florey Institute of Neuroscience and Mental Health.
