David Story

Professor David Story is Professor and Chair of Anaesthesia, Head of the Department of Critical Care and President-Elect of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anesthetists (ANZCA). His main research interest is clinically- and cost-effective approaches to reduce perioperative risk, complications, disability, and mortality.

Chuan-Whei Lee Cropped

Dr Chuan-Whei Lee is an anaesthetist and pain medicine specialist at Royal Melbourne Hospital. She is completing a PhD focussing on postoperative survival and quality of life outcomes of older and high-risk patients with different end-of-life illness phases and trajectories who are considered for surgery. Dr Lee was recently awarded the 2024 Skantha Vallipuram Research Scholarship from the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists.
