Earlier this month Honours students were asked by the Faculty to nominate an Honours Coordinator who has shown exceptional care, support, and dedication to their students throughout the year.

While Leanne was not the prize winner this year, we are thrilled that she was nominated and we congratulate awardee Adam Bryant. We are so grateful for the time and care Leanne devotes to supporting students throughout their honours journey. She is the heart of the Critical Care Honours Program.

Thank you to the honours student who submitted the nomination:

"Honours can be a tricky year trying to navigate lots of 'newness' and our coordinators are such an incredible constant to have throughout all of this. Leanne has always been incredibly positive, supportive and constantly checks in with us to ensure we are managing. She has also arranged amazing opportunities for us to check out different research facilities at unimelb and the extended medical quarter. It is so evident to me she truly wants the best for us. During my review meeting a few months ago I knew I needed to pick up the pace with my data extraction as we discussed, and to end the meeting Leanne thanked me for my participation in our weekly seminars and mentioned she has enjoyed my questions - she is highly attentive and as a student you know she is always listening, looking out for you, and has a genuine love for her role, and her students!"

A big thank you to Ryan Johansen, Faculty Honours Coordinator, for his outstanding support for our program and for orchestrating this award secretly and surprising us!
