Dr Chuan-Whei Lee awarded ASA Annual Research Grant for the PIPAH Study

Congratulations to Dr Chuan-Whei Lee who was awarded the Australian Society of Anaesthetists Annual Research Grant which will support her PhD study titled "Preoperative illness phase assessment in high-risk patients considered for surgery (PIPAH) study".

The PIPAH Study aims to explore the relationship between preoperative illness phase assessment via a multidisciplinary meeting process and the decision to proceed to end of life surgery and its outcomes.

It is hoped that this work will improve decision making around end of life surgery.
