Lier Deng receives 2023 Kate Leslie Research Award
Lier Deng is the recipient of the 2023 Kate Leslie Research Award, for the highest mark for an Honours Thesis, for her project 'A Prospective Observational Study Evaluating the Effects of Cardiopulmonary Bypass on Cerebral Oxygenation, Electroencephalographic Slow-Wave Activity & Post-Operative Confusion in Patients Having Cardiac Surgery'.
Lier completed her research project at the Florey Institute and Austin Health and has described her Honours experience with the Department of Critical Care as a wonderful experience.
