Nina Leggett receives Dean's Award of Excellence in Graduate Research

Congratulations to Nina Leggett who was presented with a Dean's Award for Excellence in Graduate Research. More than 70 students applied with only 10 awards granted. The awards recognise those who demonstrated excellence beyond research outputs alone, including contributions to graduate student committees and student life.

Nina's PhD project titled "Digital health to assist recovery after critical care" aims to assess a peer support model virtually, where both ICU survivors and health professionals are engaged using the innovative method known as "experience based co-design". The project aims to improve post-ICU recovery, via increasing social support.

The results of this study will inform a larger, multi-site randomized study of virtual peer support for ICU survivors.
