Research Overview

The Emergency and Disaster Medicine program of the Department of Critical Care promotes multi-centre research with Departments of Emergency Medicine at the 20+ hospitals affiliated with the University and beyond.

We engage in collaborative and translational research across the acute patient journey from pre-hospital, to hospital care and transitions to community care. Key areas of interest include behavioural emergencies, toxicology and disaster and terror medicine.
