Environmental Sustainability in Quality Improvement for Healthcare Workshop
This workshop is designed for clinical and non-clinical staff interested in environmentally, socially and financially sustainable healthcare.
Using the Sustainability in Quality Improvement (SusQI) approach, quality is introduced as
a tool to create more environmentally and socially sustainable healthcare services.
Participants will learn about the link between health, healthcare and the environment and ways to implement change in workplace practices.
All participants will be supported to develop a workplace project plan and calculate associated carbon emissions.
The program is led by academics and health professionals with extensive experience in implementing sustainable healthcare initiatives in health services.
Registration includes morning tea, pre-reading, a 4-hour face-to-face workshop and an optional online mentoring session.

Disaster and Terror Medicine
Equip yourself to confidently respond to disaster and terror events — online with in-person intensives.
Disasters and terror events are taking place with increasing frequency across the globe. In Melbourne, Australia we have experienced a number of natural disasters associated with bushfires, thunderstorm asthma, COVID-19 and terror events such as the Bourke Street Mall attack, all within a three-year period.
Our courses in Disaster and Terror Medicine provide you with an evidence-based introduction to the key elements of this specialty. Designed and developed by the Department of Critical Care, our programs are delivered online with a 1-2 day face-to-face intensive per subject. The courses be completed part-time at your own pace, making them ideal for currently working professionals.

These subjects are also available for professional development as a single subject, either assessed or non-assessed, through the University of Melbourne's Community Access Program.

Course structure
The Graduate Certificate in Climate Change an d Health is a 50-point course. It requires completion of two core subjects and two elective subjects.
