Focus groups seek geneticists and genetic counsellors for EYE‑GEN research
Researchers behind the Enhancing Access for Youth with Eye Disease to GENomic Services (EYE‑GEN) project are recruiting geneticists and genetic counsellors to take part in focus groups, with the option of one‑on‑one interviews.
The study aims to gather insights into the barriers clinicians see and face when working with families affected by childhood eye disease, specifically childhood glaucoma, congenital cataracts and retinoblastoma. Contributions from participating clinicians will inform a series of workshops designed to create tailored supports for families and for healthcare professionals who care for children with these conditions.
