Insights Needed: Should We Offer PERSONA for Young Women’s Cancer Prevention?
We invite you to participate in an interview study about your views on working as part of a shared care model between general practitioners and genetic counsellors to deliver young women a personalised breast and ovarian cancer risk assessment that includes genomic testing.
The results from this study will help us design and develop a cancer precision prevention intervention called PERSONA (Precision prEvention of bReaSt and OvariaN cAncer).
Eligibility
We are seeking general practitioners (GPs) practicing in metropolitan and regional areas of Australia. To be eligible to participate you must be:
- Currently working in a community-based practice as a GP;
- A Fellow of the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners (RACGP) or the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine (ACRRUM); and
- Currently working in Australia.
Potential participants will be excluded if they are:
- Are employed as a GP exclusively in a non-primary care setting.
Participation
Participating in this study will involve taking part in one telephone or zoom interview.
The interview may take up to 45 minutes. It will be conducted at a time that is most convenient to you.
All participants will be compensated for their time at the completion of the interview.
