Seeking GPs for simulation study at Validitron, Melbourne Connect

The aim of this study is to evaluate the effectiveness of a technology integrated into the electronic medical record (EMR). This technology is designed to aid general practitioners (GPs) in identifying patients exhibiting nonspecific symptoms or relevant conditions that could indicate undiagnosed cancer, warranting further follow-up.
Our goal is to ascertain the utility and acceptability of this technology and its recommendations among GPs.
Should you agree to participate you will be asked to come to the University of Melbourne’s Centre of Digital Transformation of Health to participate in two simulated consultations with an actor, followed by an interview about the use of the technology. For the simulated medical consultations, you will be able to choose the EMR that you are more familiar with, either Best Practice or Medical Director.
The simulated consultations and interview will take 45-60 minutes. Participants will receive a $150 voucher as reimbursement for their time.
If you are interested in participating in this project, please email us and we will send you the study details and a consent form. If you have any questions about the project, please feel free to email either of us: javiera.martinez@unimelb.edu.au, ksomasundara@unimelb.edu.au
