Dr Marita Long is awarded the inaugural Amy Moten Award

Congratulations to Dr Marita Long on being awarded the inaugural Amy Moten Award for Sexual and Reproductive Health Service at the 2026 Australian Society for Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynaecology Conference.

The Australian Society for Psychosocial Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ASPOG) places specific emphasis on the psychosocial and social aspects of health, and the provision of a network for exchange of ideas across the many relevant disciplines, such as medical, nursing and allied health professionals.

“I am honoured to receive the ASPOG Amy Moten Award for 2026. ASPOG is a genuinely collegial, generous and inclusive community that brings together clinicians, researchers, educators and advocates who care deeply about women’s health across the lifespan. It’s a space where thoughtful conversations happen, interdisciplinary perspectives are welcomed and emerging ideas are encouraged.” Dr Marita Long.

This award was established to recognise and celebrate individuals who have made significant contributions to improving patient experience and outcomes in the field of sexual and reproductive health. The award honours the late Dr Amy Moten's dedication and passion for advancing healthcare services with a particular focus on innovation and impact.
