Teaching and Learning Update

As many of you will be aware all clinical placements are currently on hold. We would like to take this opportunity to thank all our teaching practices for their patience during this time. We are working to restart placements are soon as soon as we can.

Training Day 1st February

Before the lock-down on the 1st February we hosted 94 members of our teaching community to our annual GP Training Day. This gave us an opportunity to provide an update on the changes to the Doctor of Medicine curriculum as well as provide our GP supervisors workshops in new assessment techniques and student wellbeing.

For those of you who were unable to attend we have a suite of online training modules which covers areas such as providing feedback and our GP curriculum. If you would like access, please contact GP-Enquiries@unimelb.edu.au

New first year GP placement

Before placements were put on hold, we were very pleased that our new first year GP longitudinal placement did commence. We would like to take this opportunity to thank our practices who participated.

For those of you who are keen to host students in 2020 but have not yet completed your placement forms, please get in contact with us to discuss the placement opportunities available this year by calling: 09 8344 7276 or email: gp-enquiries@unimelb.edu.au
