Graduate research students at the MDHS Graduate Research Conference 2022

The Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences (MDHS) Graduate Research Conference was held on the 23^rd and 24^th of November 2022.

Chaired by Jianrong Zhang, the COVID-safe conference was engaging, diverse and inspiring. Two of the Department’s graduate research students were given the opportunity to showcase their research. Shakira Milton presented the use of aspirin in bowel cancer with a rapid three-minute oral presentation and Madeleine Lim engaged the audience with an interesting talk about the Safer Sex Practices program at the university and won the Best Oral Presentation Award in the Biomedical and Health Sciences category.

Our DGP alumni, Dr. Jonathan Kaufmann, was invited as one of four plenary speakers for the conference, and gave an inspiring talk on the lessons he had learnt over the course of his PhD journey.
