Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics is seeking a Medical Director to lead its Shepparton Medical Centre, Australia’s first purpose-built, multidisciplinary teaching clinic.
Melbourne Teaching Health Clinics invited applications for the prestigious role of Medical Director at Shepparton Medical Centre, in a vibrant, diverse and growing rural community in the heart of Australia’s food bowl, the Goulburn Valley. Co-located with Melbourne Medical School’s Department of Rural Health, Shepparton Medical Centre (SMC) has provided quality care to the community and world-class clinical training to University of Melbourne students since 2010.
As the most senior position at SMC, the Medical Director is responsible for ensuring patient care is paramount and that an effective clinical governance structure is in place. As a key member of the Senior Management Team, the position will collaborate closely with both the Chief Executive Officer and Chief Operating Officer to establish and deliver on strategies to enhance patient care, develop innovative care practices, support clinical education and grow the Centre by engaging with the key partners in the Shepparton region.
