2025 Primary Health Care Nurses Day a Huge Success!

On Wednesday, 5 February 2025, Australia was awash with primary colours as people dressed in red, yellow and blue to celebrate Primary Health Care Nurses Day (PHCN Day).

Having made its inaugural debut on the Awareness Day calendar last year, PHCN Day has skyrocketed in popularity with the Australian Primary Nurses Association’s social media channels reaching over half a million impressions!

This year’s theme was “Treating the whole person”, which highlights primary health care nurses’ expertise and their holistic approach to wellbeing.

The promise of tasty treats is always a good way to lure people away from their seats and the kitchen was soon packed with people from both the Department of General Practice and Primary Care as well as the Department of Medical Education.

Thanks to Tracy Murphy for organising the event. We look forward to next year.
