DGP Students PhD Writing Weekend

DGP PhD students on the ‘write’ track with an intensive writing weekend at the UOM Burnley Campus

Finding time to write free from distractions is often a challenge for postgraduate research students.

The DGP Society for Primary Care Research (SPCR) Student Group organise regular weekday “Shut Up And Write” writing sessions with 4 hour blocks of uninterrupted writing time. Just bring your laptop, and write.

The PhD student group also held an intensive writing weekend at the UOM Burnley Campus, on Sat 18th and Sun 19th May. A weekend of uninterrupted writing, with Pomodoro writing sprints and longer writing blocks, students got through big chunks of generative writing, with plenty of words flowing onto those pages.

The annual Creswick writing retreat will also be coming up in the second half of the year.
