Welcome Associate Professor Carolyn Ee

A/Prof Carolyn Ee has been appointed as the new Director of the Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical trials group (PC4)

After 16 years at the helm of PC4, Professor Jon Emery has accepted a position at LKC Medicine in Singapore to establish a new program in Cancer Prevention and Early Detection. This is a very exciting opportunity for Jon and we wish him well for this next phase of his career. While we await Jon’s impending departure, we are thrilled to announce Associate Professor Carolyn Ee as our new director.

A/Prof Ee is an Academic GP and Principal Research Fellow at NICM Health Research Institute, Western Sydney University, and A/Professor (Cancer Survivorship and Primary Care) at the Caring Futures Institute, Flinders University. She is a nationally recognised emerging leader in chronic disease management in primary care. Her program of work focuses on co-creation and evaluation models of cancer survivorship care that aim to improve and optimise patient outcomes and prioritise patient wellbeing, particularly in the areas of health equity. Her expertise spans qualitative research, multi-centre clinical trials, evidence synthesis and clinical practice guideline development and translation.

Carolyn will begin transitioning into the role and will officially take over as Director in July 2025 following Jon’s departure. Carolyn brings with her a wealth of expertise and a strong passion for improving patient outcomes. We are excited about the future of PC4 under Carolyn's leadership.
