Seeking a TROPHI Mentor for Paula Anastasoglou, Occupational Therapist, Maroondah City Council

Since 2019 Paula has co-facilitated seven self-help programs (over 16 weeks) for people with hoarding challenges and facilitated a monthly support group. They have completed evaluations for these programs that have demonstrated multiple benefits to this group.

They are seeking guidance on next steps, such as

  • Writing an academic paper from already conducted evaluations
  • Possible future research questions, e.g.
    • How to identify people who may benefit from attending groups?
    • Would a screening tool be helpful for use in hospitals/GP clinics?
    • Whether different models of care would be beneficial?
    • How to engage more men in these types of programs?

To become a mentor, you need to be a registered primary healthcare professional with experience in research and/or research translation/practice. You would be expected to connect a minimum of 12 times across 12 months. In recognition of the time spent in training and mentoring, you will be awarded a one-off payment of $500 as a thank you for your commitment.
