“The whole is more than the sum of its parts” Attending ISPOG Congress in the Hague, Netherlands

Students present at the International Society of Psychosomatic Obstetrics and Gynaecology (ISPOG) Congress in The Netherlands.

Lily Claringbold (MPHIL Candidate) and Molly Wellington (PhD Candidate) both gave oral presentations at the ISPOG Congress in The Hague at the beginning of October. ISPOG is a world-wide organization concerned with psychosocial and psychosomatic issues in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, but also in women’s health more broadly. Lily presented her findings from her Masters research: "The Provision of Psychosocial Support in Early Pregnancy Assessment Services in Australia" and Molly presented findings from part of her PhD: "Responding to reproductive coercion in Australian primary care.” Both presentations were well received by congress attendees and generated discussion around continuing to improve women’s health care, locally and abroad.
