Amy Coe receives Graduate Researcher (Discovery Researcher) Prize

At the Melbourne Medical School (MMS) Research Symposium on 27 November, Dr Amy Coe was awarded the Graduate Researcher (Discovery Researcher) Prize for her exceptional work on the WiserAD Trial. Her research, titled "Understanding Australian General Practice Patients’ Decisions to Deprescribe Antidepressants in The WiserAD Trial: A Realist Informed Approach" sheds light on the importance of deprescribing antidepressants.

Deprescribing is the process of reducing or stopping medications that may no longer be beneficial. It is an essential area of research, especially in managing long-term conditions such as depression. Amy’s work not only reflects her rigorous academic training but also her commitment to improving patient care and shaping the future of general practice.

Congratulations Amy on this well-deserved recognition!
