The Primary Care Collaborative Cancer Clinical Trials Group (PC4) has been successful in securing a further three years of funding from Cancer Australia as part of the 2024-2027 Support for Cancer Clinical Trials (SCCT) Program with a total of $22.19 million awarded across 14 clinical trials groups.
The Australian Cancer Plan will guide the program with a focus on equity and building capacity in the cancer trials space. “By supporting these clinical trials, we are advancing critical research and ensuring that innovative treatments reach those who need them most, helping to save lives and reduce disparities in cancer care across Australia," said Professor Dorothy Keefe, CEO of Cancer Australia.
PC4 sits within the Cancer in Primary Care Group (led by Professor Jon Emery) and supports the development of high-quality cancer clinical trials within primary care. PC4 provides assistance to all researchers developing cancer clinical research projects within primary care.
