The Students in Primary Care Research (SPCR) Annual Writing Retreat was held in Sunbury from 25-28 September 2024. Seven students participated in the retreat.
The retreat provided a focused and productive environment for participants to make significant progress on their writing projects. Held in a peaceful country-house, the focus sessions were supercharged by the region's huge diversity of birds that often came to visit by the windows.

Each student demonstrated remarkable concentration, working diligently toward their individual goals. In addition to the focused writing sessions, the group maintained high levels of engagement, sharing insights and supporting one another throughout the retreat. To balance the intensive writing efforts, participants also enjoyed early morning nature walks, which offered a refreshing way to start the day and foster informal conversations among members.

This combination of structured and relaxing activities created an enriching experience, enhancing both productivity and wellbeing.

The SPCR would like to express its gratitude to the Graduate Student Association (GSA) for their generous support through the GSA Special Grant of $2,000. SPCR looks forward to continuing this tradition in future years, fostering a strong sense of academic community among students in primary care research.
