Targeted general practice helps GPs to better manage diabetes

Dr Jo-Anne Manski-Nankervis and Assoc Prof John Furler featured in March edition of Good Practice

Associate Professor John Furler and Dr Jo-Anne Manski-Nankervis were interviewed for the article in Good Practice supporting a role for primary care research in improving the quality of care in general practice for patients with diabetes.

They argue that research conducted in a general practice setting can provide evidence for treatment strategies that are effective in improving the care of patients and clinical outcomes in a real-world setting.
This has implications in assisting GPs in the management of diabetes and other chronic conditions prevalent within the Australian population.
