Program of Work

Future Health Today is supported by a robust program of work, including quality improvement opportunities, resources for consumers, and significant research capability and experience.  A general practice advisory and consumer advisory group actively contribute to and support this program of work.

Quality Improvement

– Provides an audit and recall tool and clinical decision support
– Project ECHO supports the FHT platform by linking interdisciplinary specialist teams with general practices across Victoria for learning and case discussions using evidence-based ECHO methodology via the Zoom cloud conferencing platform

Facilitating Consumer Knowledge

– Provides links to evidence-based consumer materials available via the dashboard and point of care tool
– Has the capability to ‘prescribe’ apps and interventions aimed to increase consumer knowledge

GP & Consumer Advisory Groups

– Provide expert and lived-experience advice on design, implementation and evaluation of the FHT program
– Inform content and design of consumer and general practice materials

Research

– Co-design implementation science and randomised controlled trial methodology
– Clinical informatics, clinical, health services, consumer and policy expertise
– Patron dataset consists of data from 120 general practices across Victoria; this can be linked to hospital and registry data to understand the patient journey and evaluate programs
