Symposium: Humanities in health professional education: narratives, film and art

The health humanities have a growing profile in health professional education. Come and join us for a symposium on some of the innovative humanities activities happening in the MMS and beyond.

Time: 4:00 – 5:30 PM

Location: Room 116, Level 1, Old Arts Building,  Parkville campus,  Zoom available - a link will be sent to those planning to attend online.

This symposium is targeted at educators interested in incorporating  health humanities into their teaching and those with a passion for the topic. It will involve presentations from University of Melbourne educators including topics such as training in the medical humanities, teaching  humanities and narrative medicine. It will also include a presentation from a visiting scholar,  Professor Peter Barta (University of Surrey & Texas Tech University).

We hope to see you in person, but if you are unable to make it, we will be running this as a hybrid session. For planning purposes, please register your attendance here by 17 February 2025.
