Project title

Peer debriefing in postgraduate medical education

Abstract / overview of project

Rich learning opportunities are often overlooked in clinical settings due to a variety of factors including high patient volumes and the availability of skilled preceptors.  Andrew's proposed thesis will examine workplace learning facilitated by "learning conversations" in clinical and extracurricular contexts. The work will be underpinned by sociocultural theories with specific exploration of the features of 'clinical debriefings' and ‘near peer’ facilitation that support learning.
