Thesis Title: ‘Atyepe-atyepe Iwerre Ampe-ke’ Healthy Journey for Kids: Feasibility of Conducting a Longitudinal Cohort Study of Young Aboriginal Children in Alice Springs

Thesis Summary: Building a stronger evidence base on factors affecting health outcomes for young Aboriginal children in Alice Springs is crucial for informed public health policy and service delivery. This doctoral research explored the feasibility and acceptability of establishing an early life cohort study in partnership with the Central Australian Aboriginal Congress. The idea was found to be acceptable providing it was Aboriginal-led and focused on social determinants. This groundwork will inform future engagement efforts to co-create much needed local data capabilities.
