Thesis Title: Implementation of pharmacogenomics within paediatric oncology – Actionable variants and discovery science
Thesis Summary:
Pharmacogenomics is the study of how an individual’s genes affect their response to medications. This thesis explored the utility of pharmacogenomics in children with a cancer diagnosis. Through implementation of pharmacogenomic testing in these patients, the potential to improve treatment outcomes was demonstrated. Family concerns around pharmacogenomics were also investigated, paving the way for adoption into routine clinical care.
