Thesis Title: Outcomes of Surgical Repair of Tetralogy of Fallot

Thesis Summary: This PhD thesis examined the outcomes of surgical repair of tetralogy of Fallot among 960 patients at the Royal Children’s Hospital Melbourne over three decades (1990 – 2021). Retrospective review was performed to determine the long-term outcomes of our institution’s longstanding strategy of transatrial repair delayed beyond the neonatal period. This strategy was associated with excellent survival, including in patients with coronary anomalies. For symptomatic young infants, staged repair was associated with similar cardiac mortality and reinterventions as primary repair.
