Teaching As You Go

Teaching As You Go (TAYG) is an introductory short course for clinical teaching, held by the Department of Paediatrics, University of Melbourne.

The program includes a 1.5-hour online introduction followed by a one day in-person workshop at The Royal Childrens' Hospital. There will be some pre-reading and preparation required before the​ workshop activities.

Ideal for

Any health professionals looking to build on their clinical teaching skills. No pre-existing teaching expertise or experience is required. This course will prepare participants for further professional development in clinical education and teaching. ​

Course Details

Online Introduction: via Zoom. 7:00pm-8:30pm

  • ​Evening online introduction to clinical teaching before in-person workshop.

In-Person Workshop Day: Saturday 9:00am to 2:30pm

  • Tools for teaching on the go, teaching a skill and feedback.

Course Fee

$100 – RCH staff.

$130 – external participants.
