Department of Surgery Research Showcase 2017  "RESEARCH INTO PRACTICE" was held on Tueday 14 November 2017

Research Committee Chair, Professor Peter Choong, welcomed guests to the Research Showcase and hosted a day comprising Keynote Speakers Professor Mark Rosenthal, Professor Grant McArther, Professor David Huang and Professor Andrew Carr who spoke on a range of topics and Dr Suzy Ryan, presenting on new NHMRC Guidelines.  Oral presentations from Early/Mid Career Researchers, PhD Students and Fellows, highlighting aspects of their research, added to the ambiance of the day.

Highlight of the day was the presentation to the successful winners of the Department of Surgery Seeding Grants 2017:- Duncan Crombie, David Canty, Claudia Di Bella, Carmine Onofrillo and Romane Blanchard.

The day closed with Professor Andrew Kaye, Head of Department of Surgery presenting awards to the winning researcher in their category
