Major Grant Round 2019/2020
With the forthcoming grant season fast upon us, we are publicising the key application dates for the various grant schemes, and also our internal DEPARTMENT OF SURGERY GRANT PANEL REVIEWS.
As you know, these are mandatory and all honorary and paid members of staff submitting grants through the University of Melbourne (and the Department of Surgery) are expected to participate.

I would also like to bring to your attention, the support program being delivered by the Faculty for the forthcoming NHMRC Investigator Grants 2019. This program is aimed at potential applicants, with workshops and seminars held throughout the year. The aim of this program is to support the preparation of high-quality applications. For details and to register for upcoming sessions, refer to the RD intranet.
Please register your attendance for whichever grant scheme you are intending to submit an application forby emailing Martine Batchelder (martineb@unimelb.edu.au).
Allow 30 minutes duration for the panel review and CIA is expended to attend, although other investigators are also welcome. The Review Panel will employ the appropriate Grant Scheme Review matrix (ARC / NHMRC).
Martine will reply and confirm your time and attendance closer to the date of the panel.
A developed draft will be required to be submitted to Martine Batchelder (martineb@unimelb.edu.au) 7 days before the date of the panel review. Please note that late submissions will not be accepted.

Postnote – current round:
NHMRC Investigator grant results will be released 2nd half of August 2019, and Ideas Grant results in November 2019.
