New President Elect - Professor Chris Christophi

Appointed President Elect of the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association.

Professor of Surgery and Head of the HPB and Liver Transplant Unit at Austin Health Professor Christopher Christophi, was recently appointed President Elect of the Asian-Pacific Hepato-Pancreato-Biliary Association (AP-HPBA), the premier HPB Surgery Association for Asia and SE Asia.

Pictured with Professor Masakazu Yamamoto, the convenor of the 6th Biennial Congress of the AP-HPBA held in Yokohama Japan, Professor Christophi is also the past President of the Australia and New Zealand Hepatic Pancreatic and Biliary Association (ANZHPBA). He leads the development of the training curriculum for postgraduate fellowships in HPB surgery in Australia and had been chair of the scientific committee of the AP-HPBA. He will also convene the biennial congress of the International HPB Association to be held in Melbourne in 2020.
