Surgical Students Society – Diversity in Surgery; An interview with Professor Justin Yeung

The Surgical Students Society of the University of Melbourne has been hosting podcast interviews with guest surgeons to help medical students understand and connect more with surgery.

Professor Justin Yeung from Western Precinct was interviewed this month, and he discussed his journey through surgery, sharing his first experiences as a medical student in the United Kingdom, explaining how he developed his interests in surgery and surgical teaching before describing his colorectal training in Melbourne Australia before returning back to the UK as a consultant surgeon. He explained his reasons for coming back to Melbourne University as an Academic Surgeon as well as describes to students his learnings from his global experience. A definite podcast for those who are interested in pursuing a career in surgery.
