Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations celebrates one year of operation

The Australian Centre for Accelerating Diabetes Innovations (ACADI), directed by Professor Elif Ekinci from the Department of Medicine at Austin Health,   is celebrating its first birthday. ACADI is a virtual collaborative diabetes centre focused on delivering novel interventions in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of diabetes and its complications. ACADI currently includes 18 projects, aligned with our three priority areas.

The centre is excited to launch its activities for 2023, including:

  • PhD and early career researcher grants opening mid-year.
  • Monthly seminars with leading experts in the field.
  • A new mentoring program.
  • Health Technology Innovation Challenge to pitch for a total of $30,000 of seed funding.
