Medical students’ transition to practice telephone referral skill
Telephone referrals form a core part of interns’ clinical communication, yet final year medical students receive little formal preparation for this task. This project investigates final year medical students’ telephone referral skills before and after ward immersion using simulation.
This important skill warrants attention in clinical learning with opportunities for feedback.
