CSANZ Award winners

Congratulations to Joshua Wong and Yuyang Song on winning the Ralph Reader prizes!

Two of our UoM Baker Department's PhD students, Dr Joshua Wong and Dr Yuyang Song, have won the 2026 Cardiac Society of Australia and New Zealand (CSANZ) Ralph Reader prizes, the most prestigious CSANZ research award for young investigators.

Joshua, a cardiologist and PhD research fellow in Cardio-Oncology and Cardiac Imaging, supervised by Professor Tom Marwick. won the Ralph Reader Clinical Prize. Yuyang, who'd recently completed his PhD, supervised by Prof Xiaowei Wang, Dr Cuong Viet Pham and Prof Karlheinz Peter. won the Basic and Translational Prize.
