Relive the warmth of reunion at our official launch event.
We are thrilled to announce the official launch of GR-Connect!
38 former and current GR students and supervisors attended the official in-person and online launch on the evening of 19th April. It was heartwarming to see so many familiar faces and to reconnect. It really was like a family reunion!

Prof Kelsey Hegarty opened the event, followed by Prof Jane Gunn, who delivered a poignant reflection on the Department's evolution, emphasising the profound importance of maintaining connections. Dr Liz McLindon and Dr Mandy McKenzie then proceeded to unveil our new GR-Connect Website. Prof Meredith Temple-Smith traced the history of graduate research within the Department, while Dr Phyllis Lau formally inaugurated our Mentorship Program. Chiara Beccia and Dr Lucas de Mendonca then led a panel discussion featuring former GR students Dr Christine Longman, Dr Tshepo Rasekaba, and Dr Sandra Davidson, who shared insights from their own GR journeys and offered invaluable advice for our current GR students.

Stay tuned for upcoming activities to sustain the momentum of GR-Connect! For further details, visit the GR-Connect Website or reach out to us via email at gr-connect@unimelb.edu.au.
The GR-Connect initiative is funded by the MDHS GR Development Grant.
