Study
The Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Newborn Health is responsible for teaching Obstetrics, Gynaecology and Neonatal Paediatrics to MD medical students. Each year, approximately 350 medical students spend six weeks (across four rotations) attached to the Department during the third year of their medical course.
In addition, graduate research students, including Honours, Master of Biomedical Sciences, and Doctor of Philosophy students, are pursuing full-time or part-time research through the Department.
We also offer clinical elective placements to enrolled Australian and international medical students who have completed their women's health obstetrics, gynaecology and/or neonatology rotations.
