  • How much is the administrative fee?

    There is a one-off administration fee of AUD$800, to be paid before the commencement of the elective placement.

  • What is a Working with Children Check, and why do I need it?

    The Working with Children Check (WWCC) is an assessment of a person's suitability to work or volunteer with children. It involves an examination of relevant criminal offences and disciplinary findings across a person's lifetime. An Australian WWCC is mandatory for elective students at The Royal Children's Hospital. Elective students are classified as volunteers - this does not attract a fee.

  • How do I arrange accommodation?

    Students need to arrange their own accommodation. There is a range of student accommodation affiliated with the Universty of Melbourne.
