2026 EMCA Travel Support Grant Winners: Dr Hope O’Brien, Dr Remika Mito and Dr Elysha Ringin
Congratulations to Dr Hope O’Brien, Dr Remika Mito and Dr Elysha Ringin, who have been awarded the 2026 EMCA Travel Support Grant, each earning a $7,500 grant, supported by the Henry Freeman Trust.
The Department of Psychiatry established the travel award scheme to support early and mid-career researchers within the Department. The scheme will provide financial support to enable researchers to participate in high-quality research conferences via accepted presentations, and potentially to visit research institutions during the same period of travel.
Dr Elysha Ringin will use her grant to attend the International Society for Bipolar Disorders conference in Vancouver later this year.
Dr Remika Mito plans to use her grant to attend and present at the International Society for Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (ISMRM) Annual Meeting in Cape Town, South Africa.
