Easing into Adolescence: Collaboration with Mindful and the Victorian Government

Easing into Adolescence is a new free online resource developed by the Victorian Government Department of Education, based on the evidence-based Tuning in to Teens(R) parenting program (Havighurst, Harley & Kehoe, 2019) in collaboration with Mindful staff members, Professor Sophie Havighurst and Dr Christiane Kehoe.

Designed for families of young people aged 10–14 years, the website supports parents and carers through the transition to secondary school using an emotion coaching approach. It includes clear written explanations, short videos on emotion coaching with adolescents, an animation explaining adolescent development, and a vignette demonstrating emotion coaching.
