Reflecting on past and upcoming events

The Department of Psychiatry hosted two key events to conclude the year, providing an opportunity to reflect on the achievements of 2024, celebrate academic excellence, and connect with colleagues.

The Research Symposium showcased the innovative and impactful research being undertaken within the Department. This included presentations from leading researchers, early career academics, and postgraduate students, spanning diverse areas such as mood disorders, psychosis, trauma, and developmental mental health. The symposium highlighted the Department’s commitment to advancing mental health research and fostering collaboration across disciplines.

Immediately following the symposium, the Teaching Awards Ceremony honored the outstanding contributions of our educators, with over 60 guests in attendance. This event was a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge and celebrate the dedication and excellence of our teaching staff.
