Australasian Conference on Traumatic Stress 2027: Abstract Submissions and Registration Now Open

The 23rd Australasian Conference on Traumatic Stress (ACOTS 2027) will be held in Sydney from 18-20 March 2027 and will explore the theme Rethinking and Navigating Trauma in a Complex World.

By bringing together research, policy, lived experience and practice, ACOTS 2027 will examine how trauma is understood and navigated in an increasingly complex and interconnected world, and how emerging evidence can be translated into meaningful action and real-world impact.
Hosted by Phoenix Australia (the University of Melbourne) and the Australasian Society for Traumatic Stress Studies (ASTSS), ACOTS brings together researchers, clinicians, policymakers, service providers and people with lived experience to share the latest developments in trauma research, policy and practice. The conference will feature keynote presentations, symposia, workshops and networking opportunities focused on advancing understanding and responses to traumatic stress.
We encourage Department of Psychiatry staff, students and collaborators to submit an abstract and join colleagues from across Australasia at this leading trauma and mental health conference. A discounted launch registration rate is available throughout September 2026, and abstract submissions close on 23 October 2026.
For conference information, abstract submission guidelines and registration details, visit the ACOTS 2027 website.
