Neuropsychiatry
| Research Overview |

The Neuropsychiatry Theme explores the aetiology, mechanisms, biomarker discovery and treatment, to improve understanding and outcomes of a range of neuropsychiatric disorders and ultimately benefit patients and their families. We particularly seek to understand the pattern and timing of changes as these disorders emerge and become established in childhood and adolescence. Our areas of interest include:
Our involvement in large-scale research projects and consortia, such as PGC, PRONIA, ENIGMA, PSYSCAN, and PHENOM, allows us to contribute to answering significant questions in neuropsychiatric research. We foster knowledge exchange and skill development through our clinical programs, in addition to hosting international researchers through initiatives like the Greek-Australian Travel Fellowship. Our multifaceted approach and global collaborations position us at the cutting edge of neuropsychiatry research, driving advancements in understanding, detection, and treatment. |
