Christy Kei

Medical Student (2020)

Christy Kei is a third-year medical student undertaking a research project with the Department of Surgery at Western Health.  Follow completion of a Bachelor of Biomedicine degree at the University of Melbourne in 2017, she began post-graduate study with the Melbourne Medical School in 2018.  She is currently undertaking clinical training at Western Health and has fostered a keen interest in surgery.

Currently, she is under the guidance and supervision of A/Prof Justin Yeung.  Her project aims to determine the impact of COVID-19 on surgery during the pandemic period.

Christy feels very fortunate to be able to work with the phenomenal Department of Surgery team at Western Health.  Under the attentive supervision of A/Prof Justin Yeung, she has been provided incredible learning opportunities, frequent constructive feedback, and an overall well-supported and collaboative working environment.

Christy is excited to see the outcomes of her study and would recommend without reservation that future students undertake their MDRP project at Western Health.
