Joint Inter-precinct Northern, Western and International Medical Robotics Academy (IMRA) surgical skills day

Members from the Department of Surgery, ledby Dr Krinal Mori and Professor Shekhar Kumta from Northern Health, Professor Justin Yeung from Western Health and Dr Helen Mohan from IMRA ran a multidisciplinary workshop for medical students from the University of Melbourne.

Student learnt many skills including advanced surgery, laparoscopy and robotics as well as the management of VAC dressing and stomal therapy . In addition, they had informativetalks on how to best prepare for being a surgical intern as well as guidance on career progression and how to incorporate research into their future career.
